My long-term goal as a researcher is to decipher the regulatory networks that control chloroplast biogenesis and proteome dynamics in order to better understand the ability of plants to adapt to variable environmental constraints. Our major findings were the elucidation of the sub-plastidial and sub-thylakoidal localization of specific metabolic pathways in Arabidopsis thaliana using quantitative proteomic experiments (see AT_Chloro database), the functional characterization of ion or metabolite transporters associated to the chloroplast envelope, and the identification-characterization of “non-canonical” proteins targeted to the chloroplast through alternative routes. Besides research in the lab, I am also working at INRAE as a Deputy-Head of the Plant Biology and Breeding Division. I am also Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Plant Science, section Plant Proteomics and Protein Structural Biology.
